The “Bibliophilia” page (Nov. 2021) gained a second section, “playing to a muse.” And I renamed the page.

After all, even premodern minds fabricating religions were poets of ultimate concern.

A divined holism is made holy. “Spirit” in “Nature” becomes philosophy (which evolves to find all notions deserving frame quote marks), which vows to be practical.

But evolutionarity gets the better of us, drawn by calling into better conceptions of Its intelligibility.

Then, performance art responds to its calling to say “the gods bless
your promise”—though we won’t live to love your hardwon capability
to respond, your responsibility in Our evolving.
