summer 2024

Finishing “for the best of America” feels like a closure on giving attention to the presidential campaign of “Ours,” in keeping with
what I noted below for Sept. 4.

Now, back to engagement with practical conceptual interests (which will result in more postings before Sept. 28).

And good-bye summer.

Sept. 6

Eight: “democratic mindfulness: concept, policy, and practice.”

Though the title is fair, the formality feels like a private joke, because the scholarly register is commonly useless pretense. I want the peak, beyond academic rhetoric: a resort only known through private letters.

Sept. 4

Day two of being back in campaign commentary mode, seven discussions. More coming soon.

The intensiveness is largely a desire to get away from the externalities of political affairs back into conceptual and aesthetic ventures, but with satisfactory demonstration of a good continuum between political life and the heights which most persons regard as useless, if not elitist
(or hermetic).

What may be a very good way to understand a path from valley
to peak?

Aug. 30

I am not a fiction.

Aug. 20

Additional “advice about inquiring and creative life” here (Aug. 15) is that there’s nothing like a fiction which effectively postures itself as non-fiction.
To wit: marketing secrecy about the “fact” that the extraterrestrials are among us.

Actually, the aliens are among us: artistic lives and researchers drawn into very complex interests. Being in the clouds is transcendent.

And realistic about Absolute Otherrs.

Aug. 2

The election season is thrilling now, you know.

Apart from that (difficult to sustain), my project development has more untangling to do (so much semantic compression in offline notes); so, I’m not getting new sprouts online as soon as I hoped. But I feel close to getting lots more online frequently.

July 19

I thought I’d sprout by today, but I didn’t make it. Good reason, though.

July 5

“Formal integrability” (June 26 below), yes.

But not soon. It’s like a constellation being clearly present, but conveying it all as such requires a sequence of stars pointed out such that the constellation emerges for others, then to be sensibly named
for what it shapes, which can be drawn various ways. What’s best
to be next?

Yet, why does a mind commonly want formality in evolving reality? Anyway, the promised gestalt changes because the stars are alive and moving.

June 21

I’m enjoying my tropical landscape—too much to do an update today —or tomorrow?.... Sorry. Home soon. Live lightly. Cheers.
